In 1695, Ambrose Wigglesworth opened the doors to his first customers. Three hundred years later, we continue the tradition of offering hospitality and a warm welcome in this seventeenth century inn, situated beside the Maypole Green in the picturesque Dales village of Long Preston. The Maypole Inn has long had a strong reputation for serving fine home cooking in its warm, spacious dining room. As well as traditional pub dishes, there is a varied menue of daily specials which include veritarian and fish dishes. The Maypole's two bars offer a good selection of hand-pulled ales- the inn has 4 times been selected as CAMRA Pub of the season for the district. With open fires for the cooler months and outside seating by the pretty village green during the summer, it is well patronised by both locals and visitors. Six bedrooms provide comfortable, well furnished accomodation. Each room has a private bathroom, television and tea/coffee making facilities.
