The Ride-2-Stride Festival starts Tuesday 30 April – 6 May 2013

Line, and music sessions in the evenings.

There are 3 walks planned tomorrow (Tues) starting from Settle
Station at 9.41 –
2miles (till 11.45) – 6 miles (till 15.00) – and 10 miles (till 16.00)

Then a music session at The Craven Arms, Giggleswick at 16.00 and a
Talk about butterflies on a Dales Hill Farm by Tom Lord at 7.30pm

BUTTERFLIES ON A DALES HILL FARM  – Tue 7.30pm at Friends Meeting
House  BY TOM LORD

Conservationist, farmer and YDS Council member Tom Lord will give an illustrated
talk about how he farms Lower Winskill to manage his wildflower-rich hay meadows and
other habitats to benefit butterflies.   Ends around 9:30 p.m.

THUNDER IN THE MOUNTAIN Friday 3 MAY 2pm – at Friends Meeting House,
Kirkgate, Settle. by Bill Mitchell

Former Dalesman editor, and
YDS President Bill Mitchell will give a talk
based on his book about the building of Ribblehead Viaduct and the
fascinating stories of life in the settlement around Batty Green.
Ends around 4:00 p.m.

Dave Johnson is leading a walk to Crummackdale starting at  10.24 from
Horton Station and finishing  (15.15) (7 miles moderate)

and

Wigglesworth Wader Walk – Join Adrian Shepherd (RSPB) and David Tayler
(YDMT) will lead a walk starting from Long Preston at 9.44

and Dave Johnson will give a tlak on the Archaeology of Malham Moor at
7.30pm in the Friends Meeting House.
