We offer a professional paint-mixing service, using two paint-mixing machines to provide the widest possible choice of colours from a variety of well-known ranges. We also provide a key-cutting service using locksmith-quality cutting machines.

Our cheerful, knowledgeable and well-trained staff will always be happy to give advice on the most suitable products for your DIY project. 

Painting & Decorating

We stock an extensive range of Berger and Leyland (trade-quality) paint, including primer, undercoat, satin, eggshell, gloss and emulsion. We mix Crown colours on our Berger machine, and an even wider choice of Leyland and various other manufacturers’ colours on our Leyland machine. We also stock the full range of decorating accessories, and have many wallpaper books for you to choose from.

Timber

Our timber is cut to sizes designed to fit in your car, so our soft wood is supplied in 1.8m and 2.4m (6’ and 8’) lengths. Our largest size is 9’ x 1’. We stock sheet material, ply and MDF in sizes from 2’ x 2’ all the way up to 4’ x 3’ and 6’ x 2’. We also keep 2mm clear plastic in the same sizes. We stock white melamine in 6’ and 8’ lengths, from 6’’ to 24’’ wide.

Electrical

We have a wide range of light bulbs (still stocking 40, 60, 100, 150 and 200 watt bulbs!) including candle bulbs, golf ball bulbs, all sizes of fluorescent tubes, and a wide choice of energy-saving bulbs and halogen bulbs. We stock all the usual fittings for a DIY electrical job, including 13 amp sockets and boxes, light switches, spurs, junction boxes, clips, phone extension kits and much more. We also supply cable and flex, halogen lights, fans, 2- and 4-gang extensions and cable reels.

Plumbing

We stock 8mm to 28mm Yorkshire and compression fittings, taps, gate valves, isolators, flexi-connectors, stop-ends and copper pipe, plus 15mm and 22mm Polyplumb fittings and pipe. We also keep 32mm and 40mm outlet pipe and all fittings in black.  We stock 100mm soil pipe and fittings, and black guttering, both round and square, and all fittings.

Tools
We stock an extensive range of Draper power tools (all guaranteed) and hand tools for DIY jobs, including joinery, building work, outdoor jobs and motoring.

Wood Treatment
You will find just the thing you need for every project from our wide range of stains, varnishes, oils and preservers. Brands in stock include Cuprinol, Ronseal, Rustins and Barrattine.

Locks
We stock a good range of quality locks by Union, ERA and Yale, and cut a wide variety of keys using locksmith-quality machines. We also keep a good range of door handles, padlocks and chains.

Cleaning Products
Our extensive range of cleaning products includes the HG range, and some other products that you may have difficulty finding elsewhere, such as Borax, white vinegar and soda crystals.

Sealants
Whatever you need to seal, we carry a full range of sealants, including silicone in white, clear, brown and black, and bathroom sealants in white, ivory and clear. We also supply roof and gutter seal, lead seal and low-modulus sealant.

Adhesives
We stock all the adhesives you are likely to need for DIY jobs, including tile adhesive for walls and floors, and general purpose household adhesives.  These incluse two-part epoxy (Araldite) and Miliput, superglues, PU5, No More Nails – the list is endless.

Secondary Glazing
Energy costs are continualy rising. We stock clear plastic sheets and several types of fixing systems to enable you to double-glaze, or even triple-glaze, your windows , including a magnetic system and a low-cost thin film system.

Draught Excluders
We stock a wide range of rubber and foam door and window systems to make your home warmer and cosier. We also keep door excluder sets in aluminium or brass, and in white or brown plastic.
