Organised by Settle Justice & Peace Group 7:30pm
in St Mary & St Michael Church Hall, BD24 9RA
Sean Ryan MBE  will speak about this new and revolutionary approach to
refugee resettlement in the UK.
This scheme enables communities to respond in the most complete and
transformative way possible, for both refugee families and their host
communities, by welcoming, housing, supporting and equipping families to
become resettled here, as valued and fully independent members of the
communities in which they live. Sean’s parish of Flixton, became the first
parish, and first grassroots community group of any kind, to be approved by
the Home Office to sponsor a refugee family –“a heart-meltingly delightful
family of five who are already happy, settled, thriving and much loved by
everyone in Flixton.” It is now being repeated across the UK in both town and
rural settings. All Welcome
