14. Tue 21 Aug: ‘Get Going Together’—an afternoon aimed at promoting physical
activity  and exercise among older people in North Craven— will take place at
Settle Cricket Club,  Marshfield Road,
Interested organisations and groups have combined for a free, fun event to
showcase  the opportunities available for those in their sixties and upwards.
Visitors will be able to get information about activities/sports available,
 take part in short demonstrations and get one-to-one advice.
The initiative is part of a three-year project hosted by Age UK North Craven
with the help of North Yorkshire Sport.

Come along to find and record as many species as possible at this small 4
acre site,  complete with wildlife pond, meadow (under restoration),
limestone outcrops,  young native trees and lots of grasses, mosses and
lichens.  Bring a digital camera to record your findings and a picnic to sit
and enjoy the views!  Broadrake is at SD740792, just a short walk from
Ribblehead where  there is plenty of parking and circular walk options back
to the viaduct.  Drop-in event for those on foot, bike or horse.Please call

required.
