Channel 4 is embarking on a brand new series of the very popular TV programme ‘Four in a Bed’, which celebrates the great British B&B and guesthouse and other independently run accommodation – as well as the proud owners who run them.
We are looking for enthusiastic owners/managers, with a minimum of three guest bedrooms, who are willing to get behind their business and to share what makes their accommodation special.
In case you’re not already familiar with the programme, every week B&B/hotel owners (or managers) stay overnight at each other’s places and rate their experience. Part of the programme’s charm is that we always feature independently-run places, not larger chain operations. At the end of the week, one is crowned best value for money.
This is a brilliant opportunity for those owners to not only showcase their property but also their area and some of the delights it has to offer. We have had some fantastic feedback over our numerous series from those involved – many of whom have reported a dramatic increase in website hits and enquiries. They really enjoy the process of being on the show as it is a very happy team who try and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone. I have included some statistics and quotes from B&B owners who have previously featured on ‘Four in a Bed’ and had a really wonderful time.
Whilst these are views of people who have done well on the programme it is good to remember that some of those that haven’t done particularly well in the competition have seen a significant increase in their bookings since appearing on ‘Four in a Bed.’ That isn’t to say that your business will or won’t do well but previous B&B owners have stayed in touch and informed us of how they’ve been received.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with positive feedback after the show aired. On a normal day we tend to get 200 website hits a day and on the day it was broadcast on Channel 4, that shot up to 10,000 and it has still not returned to normal yet. We’ve received between £ 15 – 20,000 worth of bookings and that will help us get through the winter. Our bookings have tripled.”
“We’ve had loads of positive feedback from complete strangers. Our Trip Advisor hits went from 2000 a month to 4000 a week and we’ve done more business in a usually quiet November than all the other months. Our hotel looked amazing and the group came across fairly throughout the week.”
