Settle is the perfect centre for exploring the Yorkshire Dales or the Forest of Bowland, and exciting places further afield...

The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway begins here and carries you over the Pennines to Carlisle on the most scenic route in England. Take the train south and you'll find lots of exciting places to visit: Skipton with its castle, Leeds with its upmarket shopping, Bradford for the National Media Museum and Saltaire for David Hockney at Salt's Mill.

By car you're within easy reach of the Lake District, the Lancashire coast at Arnside and just minutes away from Wensleydale and the rest of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
