Settle
Local Schools
Our Local Authority schools lie within the North Craven Area of North Yorkshire and are administered by North Yorkshire County Council.
Our Local Authority schools are members of the ‘Three Peaks Family of Schools’
The Head Teachers attend regular joint meetings to discuss how to most effectively manage the children’s education. In addition to our excellent local authority schools, the Settle Area is also home to Giggleswick School, a co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged from 3 – 18 years
Contact details for our schools are listed below.

A forward thinking, dynamic school that currently caters for children ages 3-11. We have approximately 200 pupils on roll , including Nursery Provision for up to 26 pupils. We are currently in a formal federation partnership with Kirkby-in-Malhamdale Primary School and I am in the fortunate position of being in the role of shared, Executive Headteacher. Our two school governing bodies became formally Federated in July 2019 with our first AGM taking place in October 2019. – Richard Wright, Headteacher
