The Settle Chamber of Trade have recently introduced a lower rate of membership for smaller businesses in the area.
The area covered by the Chamber of Trade is larger than you might think and covers anyone doing business in Austwick, Clapham, Giggleswick, Halton West, Hellifield, Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Kirkby Malham, Langcliffe, Lawkland, Long Preston, Malham, Malham Moor, Nappa, Newby, Rathmell, Settle, Stainforth, Swinden, Tosside and Wigglesworth.
The Chamber have offered a half price rate for small businesses with a turnover below the VAT threshold of £77,000 who do not have their own business premises. Usual annual membership is £48 so small businesses would pay £24. Their membership year starts in January so it is only £10 to join for the rest of 2012.
There is a business directory on the front page of this website and a business blog area which has always been available for people to post community events or articles of general interest but Chamber members can write articles or promote their own businesses in a more blatant way!
