What is English tuition for tourists and why is it important to study here? If you are going to the UK to study English, it is not unreasonable to keep in mind a list of basic questions to which you should look for an answer. Where? For whom? For what? Is there a difference in […]
A new fundraising group for Settle and Ribblesdale is being created to help raise funds and awareness of Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Marie Curie nursing service.
We have some committed members rearing to start and they would like to invite anyone who might be interested in getting involved to an informal meeting on Thursday 3 October, 6pm at the Royal Oak in Settle.
Whether you like organising events, counting money, baking cakes or simply want to give an hour or two here and there, there will be something for you. The Fundraising Group is a fantastic way to meet new people and do something which makes a real difference in your local community. We would also love to hear from others who could support the group by donating prizes or local groups who would like to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Fundraising Groups make an enormous difference locally by helping to raise the vital funds we need so that Marie Curie Nurses can continue to provide free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
Community Fundraiser Lucy Burnett says: “Joining a Fundraising group is a great opportunity for local people to join together and get involved in fun and rewarding fundraising activities while supporting the Marie Curie Nurses in the local area. We would love people to get in touch for a chat about what being part of a fundraising group entails, and answer any questions supporters may have before setting up a meeting in the area. We would love as many people as possible to join us.”
