Take 3 Chefs…

To tie in with the latest exhibition in Settle’s Gallery on the Green ‘Take 3 Chefs…’, an evening of food & cookery, is taking place at the Victoria Hall, Settle on Thursday 30th May at 7pm (doors open 6.30pm).
Chef number one is Joan Ransley, food writer and photographer whose work features regularly in the Yorkshire Post’s ‘Life & Style’ supplement. Joan’s exhibition ‘Yorkshire Food and Yorkshire People’ opened in the Gallery on the Green on Saturday. Joan will be cooking dishes using cheeses from the Courtyard Dairy, as well as other local produce, and talking with cheese refiner Andy Swinscoe about how best to serve cheese.

Chef number two is Matt Birtwhistle, Chef at The Plough Inn, Wigglesworth, and holder of 2 AA Rosettes. Matt will be using foraged and locally sourced ingredients in his pork dish.
Chef number three is Stephanie Moon, a regular contestant on BBC2’s Great British Menu, and most recently in ‘Chefs – Put Your Menu Where Your Mouth Is’. She needs no introduction, being a local lass who attended Settle College where she was taught cookery by Margaret Holgate, MC for the evening. Steph is currently Chef Consultant to Rudding Park, Harrogate, and freelance consultant to a variety of food providers across the North of England.
The 3 Chefs will be supported by Quay Ingredients from Wigglesworth, online retailers of luxury herbs and spices, The Courtyard Dairy and the newly opened Settle Brewery, plus Chris Wildman of Paganum Produce Ltd, Malham, Chris and his family feature regularly in ITV’s ‘The Dales’ and are the new owners of Town End Café & Farm Shop in Airton.
