Free workshop for business start ups
Craven residents who are considering starting a business, or have been in business for a short while, are invited to attend a free workshop on Wednesday, 26 March from 9.15 am until 4.30 pm at 1 Belle Vue Square in Skipton.
Evidence shows that preparation is key in achieving business success.The interactive ‘boot camp style’ workshop is therefore designed to help attendees prepare, test their readiness to start their business and explore business ideas and progress.
The workshop focuses on:
- The individual – skills and characteristics
- Marketing –research, target groups, competitors, promotion
- Financial management – profit and loss, cash flow
- Business planning – bringing together the basics
- HMRC requirements – legal and recording

Therefore, I encourage budding entrepreneurs take up this great offer,“ says Councillor Simon Myers, Lead member for Enterprising Craven.
The workshop will be led by Colin Grimston from Enterprising North Yorkshire. The workshop is free of charge to anyone located in the Craven District. Refreshments, including lunch will be provided.
