A Nice Suprise!

Short amusing story!

A few years back we had a couple of lads staying in our Guest House who had travelled from Italy.  They were here in Settle to walk the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks, it is one of our USP’s is to provide our guests with a full Yorkshire breakfast (should they wish) before this challenge! It was around 5.30am in the summer months and unfortunaty the weather was looking a little grey and cloudy (yes its hard to believe!)

As a host a little chat at breakfast with our guests normally can involve talking about the weather! Then came the quote from one of them “oh it will be fine we are low down here in Settle, but once we climb the first mountain we will rise above the clouds and it will be blue skies and we will have amazing views”………ummm not sure it did as they were a one night booking and we didn’t see them again after their walk to ask!

However well this turned out it could have been true ? Read More
