Local Settle Events from Judith A

1. Mon 28 March: Craven Speakers Club 
The Soroptimists Room, 28 Otley Street, Skipton, BD23 1EW
Arrive 7.15pm for 7.30pm start.

  Ten reasons to come tonight!
  • Come and enjoy an evening out,and improve your speaking skills.
  • You don’t have to speak if you don’t want to – you can just watch.
  • Only £5-00 for Visitors. We meet fortnightly.
  • These are wonderful sessions and there are only four more left after this one. Do come. If you have been thinking “I must try that one day” – do try it now before it is too late.
  • I can give a lift from Settle.
  • They are a bit like Toastmasters.
  • Self Help books recommend them. – for improving confidence, charisma and credibility.
  • You will pick up tips that will enable you enrichen and enliven talks that you give in the future. or simply to get through interviews or conversations with friends more effectively.
  • Contact me if you have questions. I can even arrange to meet you beforehand.

– Donations – Please tell friends who would like somewhere warm to go on a Wednesday morning..

8.  Fri 1 Apr: Churches Together and Craven Conservation Group
– Walk for the Climate
. Up Penyghent.
Start 12.00 midday. from The Old School, Horton in Ribblesdale. We will go up the easy route. It is 5 miles total there and back, but a lot of height. You need to wear hiking boots or strong supportive footwear, and bring warm clothes and packed lunch. Please contact  01729 822138 for more details and to book.

This is the last YNU Zoom Chat Meeting as they are now stopping for summer.
