Settle, North Yorkshire – A night years in the making is finally here. Settle’s own rising stars, Kid Nowhere, are coming home for a one-off, high-energy celebration at Settle Victoria Hall to mark the release of their debut EP.
More than just a gig, “The Homecoming” is a full-circle moment for frontman Josh Warburton and drummer Dan Lowe, who grew up together in Settle and began their musical journey in the classrooms of local schools. Now joined by Leeds-based bandmates Sam Broughton and Sol Levy, Kid Nowhere is poised to take the UK indie scene by storm – but not before saying thank you to the hometown that raised them.
“This show means the world to us,” says frontman Josh. “There’s nowhere better to celebrate than right here in Settle – with the people who’ve supported us from day one.”
Blending nostalgic alternative rock with fresh, emotional storytelling, Kid Nowhere’s sound is drawing comparisons to early Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys. Their breakout single ‘Sex Appeal’ turned heads, and now, with their first EP due for release and a second project already in the works, the buzz is building fast.
Expect powerful performances, melodic hooks, heartfelt lyrics – and a few surprises. Whether you’ve been a fan from the start or are just discovering them, this is the perfect night to jump in.
“First time I’ve seen Kid Nowhere – what a tight band with a great frontman. Strong melodic lines and catchy riffs. Can really see these guys going places,” said one early gig-goer.
