Wed 12 Feb:  4pm. Eco Explorers for families – 
This is restarting after the winter break – with a focus on snowdrops!  New families welcome.
Join a group of children aged 4 – 12 discovering nature – (Children must bring an adult) –  4 – 5.30 after school.
Finding signs of Spring. – We will meet at Settle Parish Church grounds, then go to St John’s Methodist Church, in the rear Garden room . For details phone 07950 469 545, or 07753 618381. Thur 20 Feb: Craven Conservation Group invite you to a Talk by Derek Whiteley,  (President of the Yorkshire Naturalists Union 2025) at St John’s Methodist Church, Settle BD24 9JH at 7.30pm
(Please park at White Friars/Garage Car Park or on the road, as the Church Car Park fills up very quickly.)
He has offered a choice of topics:
“Flies Unzipped – a general talk about hoverflies and other popular flies”
or “Getting to know our Millipedes, Centipedes and Woodlice” 
I will let you know which topic has been chosen very shortly. (Feel free to email me this Saturday 8th if you have strong views)

Thur 13,20,27 Feb:  Warm Space 2pm-4.30pm at St John’s Methodist Church, Settle, BD24 9JH. There is a film each Thursday The church and coffee lounge is open for you to use as a warm space. Come and enjoy watching a film, or play board games in the coffee lounge, or just sit with your laptop getting work done, or read a book.

Sat 1 March: Yorkshire Naturalists Union Conference: “The State of Yorkshire’s Nature”  Several of us will be going from Craven Conservation Group
Sat  09:30am – 05:00pm  The Priory Centre York. – There may be the possibility of sharing transport. – Do look at the list of speakers and talks – it should be really good. But you do have to book. contact me if you are interested.
If you are a member of Craven Conservation  Group and are put off by the price please contact me as the group can subsidise a limited number of people.

Settle Community Munchers take place on Monday and Thursday Lunchtimes at the Friends Meeting House – pop in for lunch – just donate what you can afford and have a friendly chat with others there – I suggest 12 midday to 12.30 is a good time to go. (less food left after that). Some of the fresh food they use is donated by local supermarket/shops that is near end of sell by date. Delicious soups made by the cook at Settle Community Munchers. Do call in and give it a try.
