as Growing with Grace expands box scheme
A local organic vegetable grower based in Clapham, North Yorkshire has announced an exciting expansion of its customer services. Growing with Grace – known to many passing on the A65 as the carrot farm – has introduced online shopping through its website, and has extended deliveries of its top quality organic vegetables to Kendal, Windermere, Grange, Ulverston and Barrow as well as to villages and communities in between.
Growing with Grace, tucked away behind its modest but famous carrot signs on the A65 at Clapham, is a cooperative and social enterprise dedicated to supplying sustainably grown produce to local people and businesses, as well as training and educational events. Operating for over 12 years in nearly 2 acres of glasshouses, they pride themselves on producing the best quality organic vegetables, salads and fruits in the region, either through a box scheme or from the site’s farm shop. The fruit and vegetable box scheme already operates successfully in Craven and Lancaster.
Trevorr Jones, box scheme manager at Growing with Grace, said: “This expansion into the South Lakes has been accompanied by improvements to our website. This means that existing and new customers can benefit from the ability to shop and order online. We now offer a wider range of boxes alongside an individualised service giving greater customer choice”.
He explained: “There are lots of advantages to being a box scheme customer including hassle-free delivery, support for local food producers plus fresh, seasonal and 100% organic produce. As one local customer put it ‘Where else can I buy watercress and mixed salad leaves picked that very morning!’”.
