Keep Warm and Well in Settle
Settle is getting organised for winter. Age UK North Craven, Settle Town Council and a host of other organisations are inviting everyone in Settle to find out how to keep safe in the cold weather.
ADVICE on fuel bills and affordable warmth schemes and staying healthy in cold weather, will be available free of charge at the “Keep Warm and Well in Settle “ Day in Victoria Hall, Settle, on Friday, 12 December hosted by Settle Town Council and Age UK North Craven.
As part a Craven-wide campaign, Age UK North Craven in partnership of Settle Town Council, is inviting householders with fuel payments worries to bring their bills to discuss one-to-one with a special adviser or pick up useful information.
Many other local help agencies will be also on hand to offer practical advice and help at the day which runs from 10am until 3pm.
“The aim of the day is for everyone living in Settle to get the right information about keeping healthy and warm in winter, prevent problems with paying for fuel, how to reduce the size of energy bills, and how to avoid falls or slips,” said Sue Bradley, Chief Officer of Age UK North Craven. Whether its for yourself or to support a neighbour or family member, the event will help to make this winter safer for whole community.
