Anyone for Tennis Sponsorship ?

Tom Horsfall

Sponsorship: We are looking for local businesses who would like to sponsor a ‘Local Lad’ who has already achieved a lot from humble beginnings.  Sponsorship would enable Tom to have the crucial one to one coaching and enter more competitions helping him take his tennis to the next level.

School: Settle College            Aged 15 yrs                DOB: 2nd Nov 2000

Tennis Club: Austwick and Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club

LTA Rating: 8.2        Target for winter: 7.1 (ending April 2016)

Awards: Bradford Parks Under 15s Player of the Year

Results: Liverpool Winter Tennis Tournament Runner Up 28th Oct 2015

Teams: Austwick Mixed A Team member & Men’s Bradford Park member

History: Started tennis aged 8 at Austwick Tennis Club with Coach Pam Whitehead and has since progressed through Austwick C Team and is now playing regularly for A Team in the Wharfdale League and also in the Men’s Bradford Parks team.

Currently: Tom now has group coaching twice a week at Ilkley and the occasional one to one coaching session from the performance coach. He has also started competing in local LTA events.

Future: Tom would like to take his tennis more seriously and compete at county and maybe nationally in the future. He has a long road ahead but is determined to succeed and therefore needs to have more coaching on a regular basis and to compete in more national competitions to improve his LTA ranking.

Sponsorship: We are looking for local businesses who would like to sponsor a ‘Local Lad’ who has already achieved a lot from humble beginnings.  Sponsorship would enable Tom to have the crucial one to one coaching and enter more competitions helping him take his tennis to the next level.

Have you got Tom’s back?

A basic sponsorship package of £300 puts your company logo on his T Shirt which will provide press coverage in the Craven Herald as one of Tom’s sponsors and a free Wimbledon ticket if he qualifies in the future !

UPDATE :  4th April 2016

Dear Sponsors,

Just wanted to let you know we got Tom’s T-Shirt and photo taken last week and this Friday he has featured in the Craven Herald:

His mum emailed me this morning to with the following good news:

Tom played at a tournament in Carlisle on Thursday. He got to the semi-finals having beaten a 7.2 and a 6.2 rating. We’re thinking that this should take his rating down to a 7.2. Let’s hope the tournament organisers get their results in soon so it shows.

David’s taking Tom to a tournament at Chapel Allerton on Monday and Tuesday, and then to Holcombe, Bury on Friday and Saturday.

So all the sponsorship and coaching is paying off !
