1. Fri 15 Apr: Settle Passion Play –
The Good Friday street drama, Journey to the Cross, is happening tomorrow
(15 April) – or maybe today by the time you read this). To see the whole drama, please come to St John’s Methodist Church, off Church Street, ready for a 10.30am start. There are children’s costumes available to wear whilst going around the town. The second venue is Millennium Garden, Kirkgate, at approximately 10.50, then the Market Place at approximately 11.10, followed by a walk down to Holy Ascension church for the crucifixion scene. Folk are welcome to join at any point. Refreshments are served inside the church afterwards.

7. Mon 25 Apr: Craven Speakers Club
The Soroptimists Room, 28 Otley Street, Skipton, BD23 1EW
Arrive 7.15pm for 7.30pm start. This meeting will include a talk/workshop on how to evaluate a speech at a speakers club.
At Speakers Clubs people give a 7 minute speech then a more experienced member evaluates the speech and shows some good features or the presentation and some tips on how the speech could be improved. The workshop will give methods of doing this.

8. Fri 1 May: Churches Together and Craven Conservation Group
– Walk for the Climate.
The walk will be a much shorter one this time. There will be a Lambing Service at NewHouses Farm, Horton in Ribblesdale at 3pm and the walk will start there and follow this.
On 1 April we walked up Penyghent. We visited Hull Pot and Hunt Pot en route and saw the saxifage. It was so clear we could see Wales in the south west.

These are wonderful sessions and there are only four more left after this one.
Do come. If you have been thinking”I must try that one day” – do try it now before it is too late. I can give a lift from Settle.
They are a bit like Toastmasters.
Self Help books recommend them. – for improving confidence, charisma and credibility.
