Good afternoon
I am currently the Subject Lead for Business at Giggleswick School and this year reintroduced the Young Enterprise programme. This year a number of our sixth form students created their own product, a colouring book based on Yorkshire landmarks which proven very successful. I know a number of shops in the Settle area have purchased copies from the team for resale and we would like to say a thank you to those involved.
The group have been very successful as a company winning their local, county and regional competitions and later in the month will travel to London for the national finals. From over 1300 teams they have reached the last 14.
Next year the cost of entering the competition will rise significantly for independent schools and we are seeking sponsors to help fund entry. If any local businesses are interested in supporting the Young Enterprise programme and/or the vocational business programmes we run at Giggleswick please do make contact and we can discuss further.
