12. Sat 13 Oct  Austwick Community Players   “Shine a Light” fund raiser

mail@redhouse1.co.uk
01729 824537; 07792 649860
Austwick Community Players will be showcasing their talents rarely
seen in a fund raising evening with a difference on Saturday 13th
October.
The “Shine a Light” fund raiser promises to be very different from
their annual comedy-farce. As well as whimsical and funny, they will
perform words and songs that display their other dramatic sides –
romantic, reflective, angry and very moving.
The Players have put on a free supper and entertainment for the Over
65s in Austwick and Lawkland parishes every year in March for over 30
years. Subsequent public performances cover the costs of the evening.
Currently stage lighting is hired but the aim is to invest in their
own kit to avoid hire costs which drain the group’s limited income. A
donation will also be made to the Austwick Church Roof Appeal.
Doors open at 7.30pm for 7.45pm. Tickets are £8, and available from
Crossleigh Stores, Austwick or from 01729 824537.
