Wed 26 Aug: 10.30-12 Settle Methodist Church Coffee Morning – Special Fair Trade goods available.

Wed and Thur 26 & 27 Aug: Settle Eco Explorers Day Camp at Lower Winskill Farm:
For families with children aged 4 to 11. (younger and older siblings also welcome).
Book early for this popular event as places limited.
If you don’t mind which day to come, then choose Thursday as there are more spaces then.
Wednesday will feature Map Reading; Thursday will feature Kite Flying.
Both days include choices of Bird Activities, nature walk, walk to go Stream Dipping, Geology, Crafts.  See  ctisad.org.uk/ for details and booking form. Phone Sally for details. 0775368381

Mon 1 Sept: 1st day of the month walk.  Day train trip to Silverdale. Starting from Giggleswick Station – meet 9am for the 9.20 train. (We will look at the station wildflowers and display boards on the railings first.  (This is route we initially planned in April). There are lots of splendid nature reserves to visit in the area. . See here for details of the trip , and please DO contact me for final details if you plan to come..

Sat 6 Sept 6.30pm Barbecue St John’s Methodist Church, Settle. (Note this was originally planned for 23 Aug but has moved to 6 Sept)

6-7 Sept: Langcliffe Church: Bric a Brac sale – (Bring your contributions to the church the Week before)

Mon 8 Sept: Craven Speakers Club:  New Venue: Skipton Friends Meeting House (Quakers)  The Ginnel, off Newmarket Street, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 2JA  (The website may still have the old venue on it) www.cravenspeakers.com fun games exercises activities to improve our public speaking.

If you are a new member, your first evening is free. After that it is £7-00 a session (Half price for students) or better, join the club  ( or £65-00 for two terms which is a big saving)
