Message below from Superfast North Yorkshire :

Just to let you know that we’ve introduced some new half day classes to the SFNY business support programme. The 4 new half day topics are:

–          Google+ Bootcamp: use the small business secret weapon like a pro!

–          Business NOT as usual: rediscover LinkedIn and Twitter for better business referrals

–          Create better website content faster: from blogging to online photos and videos

–          Online video marketing for beginners: from video production to YouTube promotion

 

To maximise efficiency we’ll be running 2 half day classes on each date, the morning one taking place 9.30am-12.30pm and the afternoon one taking place 1.30pm-4.30pm. Businesses are more than welcome to attend either the morning or the afternoon or both on their chosen date – tea and coffee will be served but lunch will not be provided for these half day classes. The events are now listed on our website and are ready to book (as always, completely free of charge):

Google+ Bootcamp: use the small business secret weapon like a pro!

 

In this interactive workshop, we explore the many options available to you to promote your business using Google+.

 

Together we review the many features of Google+ and learn how to:

–      create online content including better photos and videos

–      boost our Search Engine Optimisation efforts including link building

–      provide after sales care and customer service to current clients

–      generate word of mouth marketing and referrals for your business

 

The workshop will include the following practical sessions:

–      how to set up your profile and business page and why

–      how to plan and design your online network using Google Circles

–      how to research followers with Google Hashtags and Google Ripples

–      how to write and set up your Google+ posts for better results

–      how to use Google Auto Awesome for better photos and videos

–      how to plan and use Google Hangouts for business referrals

and so much more…

 

You will leave the workshop with your personal Google+ preparation action plan, a blueprint for your Google Circles, a framework for your Google Posts and your own approach to the Google Hangouts.

 

Requirements: You need to have a Google Account and a Google+ profile set up before joining this workshop.

Linkedin is 12 years old this year and is getting better with age! More importantly Linkedin users are getting better at online networking and creating value from their Linkedin and Twitter accounts.

 

Together we explore simple techniques and tactics to bring new life to your online networking, such as:

–      how to set up your Linkedin and Twitter profiles to make them easy to find and appealing to prospects

–      how to add credibility and trust to your Linkedin profile by adding visuals to your career history from PDFs to Videos

–      how to develop your ‘social offer’ on Twitter to attract the right followers

–      how to plan and organise your contacts on Linkedin and Twitter to save time when networking

–      how to research the content of interest to your connections to stimulate sharing and retweeting

–      how to create a content schedule that works for both Linkedin and Twitter

–      how to approach recommendations and introductions on Linkedin and avoid newbies’ mistakes

and so much more…

 

You will leave the workshop with your Linkedin and Twitter preparation action plan, a mapping of your current and future connections, a content schedule, a template for requesting recommendations and introductions.

You will leave this workshop with a clear plan of action, an outline script for your 3 essential videos, blueprints for your website and YouTube channel and the complete confidence to make your own videos using your smartphone.
