Growing flowers, fruit & vegetables

The  launch meeting of the new Allotments & Gardens Association is on Wednesday 10th October starting at 7.30pm at Hellifield House Social Club. Phil Gomersall, who is a regional mentor for the Allotments Regeneration Initiative (www.farmgarden.org.uk), will speak about growing flowers, fruit & vegetables. This will be of interest to anyone who enjoys gardens & gardening.

The speaker is asking for a donation to Take Heart, which is a charity based at Leeds General Infirmary. They fund raise to help people under stress because of heart problems.

At the end of the meeting, after questions & a chance to share ideas, there will be a short business meeting to establish the new association & form a committee.
