James Macdonald Lockhart explores all fifteen breeding birds of prey on these

Archipelago magazine. Raptor is his first book and it received a Royal

Come along to find and record as many species as possible at this small 4
acre site, complete with wildlife pond, meadow (under restoration),
limestone outcrops, young native trees and lots of grasses, mosses and
lichens. Moth traps will be set the previous evening and will be opened at
10.00. Bring a digital camera to record your findings and a picnic to sit
and enjoy the views! Broadrake is at SD740792, just a short walk from
Ribblehead where there is plenty of parking and circular walk options back to
the viaduct. Drop-in event for those on foot, bike or horse. Please call on
015242 41357 if you wish to park at Broadrake, otherwise booking not
required.
