An evening of readings from the book “Raptor” by James Macdonald
Lockhart, and music with  Ben Avison and The Moonbeams.

James Macdonald Lockhart explores all fifteen breeding birds of prey on these
shores. Lockhart is an associate editor of and regular contributor to
Archipelago magazine.  Raptor is his first book and it received a Royal
Society of Literature Jerwood Award for Non-Fiction in 2011.  Tickets £4

Young People from Settle Youth Club,

Drop in event. CCG Event
Come along to find and record as many species as possible at this small 4
acre site, complete with wildlife pond, meadow (under restoration),
limestone outcrops, young native trees and lots of grasses, mosses and
lichens.  Moth traps will be set the previous evening and will be opened at
10.00.  Bring a digital camera to record your findings and a picnic to sit
and  enjoy the views! Broadrake is at SD740792,  just a short walk from
Ribblehead where there is plenty of parking and circular walk options back to
the viaduct.   Drop-in event for those on foot, bike or horse. Please call on
015242 41357 if you wish to park at Broadrake, otherwise booking not
required.

Vice County 64 Excursion to Ingleborough area.
All CCG members welcome as an affiliated society of the YNU.
(As are people who are members of other affiliated societies such
as Upper Wharfedale Field Society,, Craven Nats, Wharfedale Nats etc.)
Meet at Colt Park Barn (SD772778).
This is a good opportunity to go out with some naturalists
who are specialised  in various subjects.
