Networking Meeting – September

Networking Meeting – Monday 19th September – 7 30pm Settle Social Club

Following on from the success of our first informal networking evening we have organised another.  It’s all about Vehicles – Trading Vehicles and Vehicles on the Market Place – it’s not about Lorries, definitely not about Lorries.  The Event will be at Settle Social Club on Duke Street starting at 7.30pm.  It is free for members and £15 for non members although if you join the Chamber the £15 will be refunded.

We have modified the format slightly based on feedback from Members.  There will be two topics with a short break in the middle to allow time for drinks and to have a chat:

TRADING VEHICLES – a half hour presentation by Mark Schofield of Haworths, Chartered Accountants on “Which is the best trading vehicle – sole trader, partnership or limited company?”  Every business has to make this decision which has a substantial impact on both business risk and tax, so this presentation will help you to be better informed.

VEHICLES ON AND AROUND THE MARKET PLACE – by Tom Algie.  Now that the Fair has gone, a light-hearted and serious look at the potential of the Market Place and possible new Parking arrangements.  The start of a process which will conclude with the Chamber’s formal view being presented to the Town Council.  Members’ views on this topic seem to vary widely, so to make sure we hear your view please try your best to attend.

Please let our Admin, Susan know if you are attending by emailing her susan@settle.org.uk or ringing her on (01729) 878163.
