FIRST THREE POINTS IN DETAIL:
1. LEARN YOUR LICHENS 4: SQUAMARINA CARTILAGINEA
Visit the limestone wall in Langcliffe High Road..
It grows in a few big chunky pastel green patches with big (2mm)
light brown reproductive bodies – discs with rims.

****************************************************************
2. CLIMATE TALKS IN PARIS:
Are any of you going to Paris or to London? To demonstrate your
concern about climate change?
Actually, I know two of you on this list who are – well done Sylvia from
Steeton who as I write will be marching on the London march (Sunday.)
and Paul Kelly from Giggleswick will be travelling by Eurostar to
Paris next month with a group from CAFOD.
Yesterday I went to the Leeds Demonstration yesterday about Climate
Justice. Over 2000 (maybe 3000) events are taking place this weekend
in support and publicity for the Paris Talks about limiting Climate
Change.
See what I wrote about Leeds here: (incl photos and videos):
http://www.greenchristian.org.uk/archives/10036
(I help edit the website for national organisation Green Christian,
and I know three people who are currently cycling to Paris, and one
person who is walking. (I hope the weather is better in France))
We did our bit in Bentham and Settle with our Environment Walks
earlier this year. http://bit.ly/1IrkoxV
Rainfall data at Malham Tarn Field Centre shows that we are
getting more days with more than 1 inch of rain per year than we used
to. (And even some days with 2 inches)- and last fortnight’s floods
will have added to this.
****************************************************************
3. COFFEE MORNING AT ST JOHN’s on TUE 1 DEC 10am
** In aid of vanishing habitats and species. **
The Guardian this week that over half the primate species
in the world are under threat of extinction.
It will also be the VERY last charity coffee morning that we have at
St John’s old church.
If you can’t come to the coffee morning I will be happy to accept
donations.
