I always say April 16 (-17th) is the day the buds of the trees
(well sycamore trees) start to break up here at Settle.
http://rainforest-save.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/sycamore-buds-will-not-open-till-16th.html
They are a bit later this year than last year. I will go out land look
for them breaking today.
