Stage 2 – comes through Settle !!

On Friday 1st May Skipton to Leyburn stage

Settle has sections of the race spread through the day so visitors spectating could stay all day .

Ladies Race timings

Settle approx 9.48am (woman’s )

road closes 9.20 for 50 minutes

Caravan ( sponsor vehicular procession) – 2 hours approx ahead of men’s race so due in Settle ( on an open road – no closure ) 1.00pm

Men’s race timings

Settle approx 3.08pm men’s

Road closes 2.40 for 50 minutes

Sprint location in Settle near the Falcon Manor junction

Sprint location in Horton in Ribblesdale past Home Farm

Kids – education info

Ks1/ks2/ks3 /4 education packs are available online

Town encouraged to theme up and put on stalls / entertainment etc

Decorate the town / shops / B&B’s etc

Blue & yellow theme

Best dressed shop window in Settle – prize to be drawn !

Micro grant bids available via CDC for up to £200 to help engage community with the tour – eg school – bunting / flags

Chairs – for elderly

See parking restrictions on the route on the day – all residents please empty the race route for the day ( Settle previously complimented on this )

Opportunity for Rugby Club, Cricket Club, Football Club etc to sell parking spaces for the day ?

Make the most of the day as residents join in and enjoy the spectacle

Make the most of business opportunity’s on the day – open early & be ready – be prepared to stay open a little longer if town is still busy

The TV coverage of our area will be fantastic for Yorkshire & the Dales Tourism.
